Recently, SERVPRO of Pasadena/Gibson Island/Lake Shore worked with a business that suffered property damage due to a recent heavy rain event. The sewage backup was caused by a county sewer line.

Water from sewer system backups should be considered dangerous. The water is grossly unsanitary and may contain bacteria and viruses that could cause serious illness. Special training and equipment is necessary to safely clean this type of contamination.
