Rain Storm Causes Water Damage

During a recent rain storm, this home suffered water damage. The home owner contacted SERVPRO of Pasadena/Gibson Island/Lake Shore to remediate the water damage.

Here are a few tips from our Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC) certified water restoration specialists:

If your property suffers a water loss, be sure to remove as much excess water as possible by mopping or blotting.

Remove and prop up wet upholstery cushions for even drying.

Place aluminum foil or wood blocks between furniture legs and wet carpeting.

Keep in mind, when there’s water intrusion, mold can quickly become a problem in your home.
